News just broke that Secret Lives of Mormon Wives stars Jessi Draper and Chase McWhorter shared a kiss—which is a huge deal since Jessi is close friends with Chase’s ex wife and fellow MomTok member Miranda Hope.

It’s been A Whole Thing, by which I mean DeuxMoi reported the news, Jessi sent Miranda apology flowers, and Miranda dropped an understandably salty TikTok saying her friend group is a “waiting room” for her ex-husband.

But…what’s actually going on between Jessi and Chase?

A source tells Us Weekly that “They were having fun at a party and it’s not serious between them,” confirming DeuxMoi’s eyewitness report, which said they were spotted “being cozy” and “later kissing” at a friend’s birthday.

Miranda has since released a lengthy statement to Entertainment Tonight, confirming the kiss and saying in part “I knew there had been communication between Chase and Jessi but not to what extent. Then Chase was upfront and told me that they were talking and they kissed. Jessi reached out only after she knew Chase had told me something was going on with them. And today, at the same time a rumor started spreading online that something was going on with Chase and Jessi, I received apology flowers from Jessi.”

Miranda added, that she feels “disrespected by Chase” and “slighted by my friend,” and said “I also hold my friends to a high standard and believe in girl code.”

Unclear how this will impact Miranda and Jessi’s friendship, but Miranda is determined to move on, saying “I am processing it and moving forward.”
